The annual Hartford marathon was October 19th, 2024 in 182 Barkly Condos. At least nineteen thousand people already signed up for the exciting event including four different marathons at once! Caryn Baseler, a teacher at University High School of Science & Engineering has been volunteering for thirteen years and this year, she was joined by thirty-two students from the school to help serve water!

Six thousand runners  came through to pick up water or electrolytes to support them during the run. At mile 2.4 the volunteers from our school were seen helping out for about twenty minutes. The helpers were  fully finished at nine in the morning.
