Going into the end of the season, I learned to have a good time with my teammates and cherish these moments.” His sentiments highlight the team’s focus on camaraderie and the valuable life lessons gained through shared experiences on the court.
Senior player Nathan Spence ’25 shared his perspective, noting, “We’ve got a hungry group of guys. Who are always willing to show up and play hard. This season hasn’t exactly been easy, but today’s win against Bolton was a big step forward. It showed the kind of heart and determination this team has. Everyone came together, played their roles, and we got the result we’ve been working toward.” Spence’s comments underscore the team’s perseverance and collective effort to overcome challenges.
Looking ahead, the Hawks are determined to finish the season on a strong note. Spence emphasized the team’s objectives saying, “Our focus is on improving every game, building chemistry, and finishing the season strong. We’re working on being more consistent and learning from each match, whether it’s a win or a loss. It’s about staying locked in, supporting each other, and pushing ourselves to get better every time we step on the court. The ultimate goal is to keep that momentum going and show what this team is really capable of by the end of the season.”
The UHSSE Hawks’ journey this season reflects a commitment to growth, teamwork, and resilience. As they continue to navigate the challenges of the season, the lessons learned and the bonds formed will undoubtedly contribute to their development both as athletes and individuals.
