One of the more recent clubs to start at UHSSE is the Crochet Club! Crochet club is exactly what it sounds like, a club where you can sit and relax while you crochet. This club was started last school year by Phebi Mireku ‘26. “We started crochet club because we needed a club that is involved in craft and a way for students to express themselves,” responded Mireku about the reason behind the club.
In this club, you can create anything you put your mind to. “We create clothes and stuffed animals as well as blankets. It’s our way of combating consumerism,” said Mireku. Crochet club meets every other Monday in Ms. Baldyga’s room, so just pop in if you’re interested in joining the club.
