The University High School/Bulkeley co-op swim team has had quite the season.

The current captain of the team is Oscar Wong (23), he competes in 200 medley relay, 100 butterfly, 100 breaststrokes, and 400 freestyle relay. With his goals for this season being to ¨cut down on my best times by a second or more.¨

After taking a break last year Oscar had said “I came into this year not knowing the team, the coach changed. Our joint team had joined other schools as well. The new team gets along really well, It’s a healthy competitive team that really supports each other. Ive been able to push myself to my limits.”

With the team having to practice for their conference meet coming up, at practice they alternate between endurance and technique.

Oscar mentions “we need to cut down on fixable errors in our form, build up our muscle, and mental strength.”

Other UHSSE members of the team are Preeti Aggarwal ‘25, Ridima Khatiwada ‘26, and Arta Soroush ’26.

As the season comes to an end, uhsse’s staff, students, and family are supporting the swim team to have good results at their conference meet. The state meet will take place in early March.
