Now that the UHSSE Boy’s soccer team’s season has come to end for the 2023-2024 year.
They co played with Prince Tech this year.They were coached by Coach Silenok.
Their goal for the 2023-2024 season was to make the conference Championship top four but unfortunately they didn’t accomplish that goal. However, the team was able to fulfill their goal of making the state tournament.
The coach says the team’s weakness this year was starting off the first half slow. “If we were scored upon we would have a negative reaction and we would put our heads went down or get more quiet on the field. However,Coach Silenok was quick to mention that the players are very passionate about improving next season.
The team is very excited for new freshmen and for the upcoming juniors and sophomores getting more chances and learning more from their experiences this year.
The team thinks winning is important but it’s also about playing as a team and enjoying the experience.
“Overall it was a good season even though it was pretty hard getting used to the tactics. Everyone had a really good time playing this season and learning more from last year.” said Thaw, a senior who played almost every position during the season.
“As, I’m a senior is had really fun with my experience and would love to continue in college based on how much time I have with my classes and stuff.”
The boys had so much fun playing this year. There is always a desire to expand the team so hopefully new students reading this will join.
