The University/SMSA football team huddles up.

University High School/SMSA’s co-op football team’s season has reached an end. But they were able to make new records and accomplishments for the school.

The score of the playoff game was 13-6. The TigerHawks lost to #8 seed Wilton.

With a won-loss record of 10-1 the team had gone almost a whole season undefeated and made playoffs making a new record for the school and higher goals to achieve.

Justin Chidozie ’23 had said “It shouldn’t have been the way it was, we had the best players in the state”. He had also brought up that he felt he could’ve played better.

Chidozie had wanted to shout out some of the amazing players, Tamir Gamble ’23, Daniel Hernandez ’23, Corey Jerrick ’24, Kyon Wynter ’24, Ifeoluwa Oluborode ’24, Deonte Williams ’24, Isiah Flores ’23, and Nathan Pierre ’24.

A lot of people including Chidozie felt that it was amazing they made a record of making it to the playoffs.

With breaking records and setting new goals to hopefully achieve next season. The football team is ready to do their best and is still being supported by UHSSE’s staff, students, and family.
