Football team still unbeaten after wins over CREC, Stafford

University high school co-oped with SMSA football team is still staying strong.

The football team is still on one of their best records yet with still being undefeated. The football team was already able to beat one of their toughest opponents in the season.

Players still feel that it is very likely that they will win the conference championship and go to states. Kyon Wynter ’24 a junior at uhsse also had said “if we keep playing how we have been we will make it far”. With Kyon Wynter as one of the team’s frontline players, winning the state title is very possible.

Other players, like Tyler Moore ’25 also agree that the season is going. Tyler Moore said that “our goal is to win the championship”. The team is staying positive, pushing through, and setting new records for the school.

With a game coming up on Friday, November 4 against Haddam-Killingworth the players are practicing hard. More upcoming games include Saturday, November 12 against Coginchaug/ Hale Ray/ East Hampton and Friday, November 18 against Windsor Locks/ Suffield/ East Granby.

University High School’s staff and students are wishing the best of luck to the football team and hope to see them win the conference championship and make it to states.
